Sam Querrey (USA)

Calabasas, October 17 - Local teen phenom, Sam Querrey of Thousand Oaks struts his newly found professional status to a full stadium at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center. 18 year old Querrey, who turned professional this past June, proved he deserves to play with the big boys. Querrey is the 7th seed. He moved into the second round easily routing Alex Bogomolov (USA) 6-2, 6-4.

The second match of the evening was a treat for local spectators with Mark Philippoussis (AUS) against Rajeev Ram (USA). Philippoussis worked over Ram to win 6-4, 6-3. Click on the Daily Schedule link to get the latest match times.
