Mark Philippoussis (AUS)

Calabasas - Mark Philippoussis (ATP ranked 129) moves into the semifinals today in the $50,000 Calabasas Challenger. After defeating Tyler Cleveland (USA) 6-3, 7-6, he meets fellow Australian Nathan Healey for a chance to play for the Calabasas title.

Philippoussis, who has been working out in Las Vegas with Darren Cahill and Gil Reyes, showed he has the potential for a big come back. "I feel I still have my best tennis ahead of me", he said after his match. With a positive attitude and perhaps a new outlook on the game, Philippoussis appears to be well on his way. "Everyday, when I wake up, I tell myself I'm going to give 100%". He will turn 30 in a couple weeks.

The other semi-final features Robert Kendrick (USA), who took Rafa Nadal 5 sets at Wimbledon this year, against Bosnian born Amer Delic (ATP ranked 134). Robert Kendrick was born in Fresno, CA and his current ATP ranking is 119.
